Pretty Sally Riding Ranch Badly effected by Wallan, Kilmore Bushfires. Help Requested!
As many would know this account is also run by admin who help out answering messages etc for Pretty Sally Riding Ranch, I Sarah am one of them and would like to urge the support of our local communities.
Today and yesterday Pretty Sally Riding Ranch was effected by the Fires throughout the regions of Bylands, Wallan and Kilmore, with fires still on neighbouring properties and spot fires on the property. All of the grass area across 400 acres was lost to the fires, we are thankful structures such as the house and saddle sheds are still intact.
Feed;
There are approximately 70 horses on the property, and unfortunately over the course of the day this seasons hay which had only been purchased two weeks ago was destroyed by the fire, leaving the property with no grass and no hay.
The savings account had been used up purchasing 300 Round Bales, at $50 each a grand total of $15,000 lost. At this stage it is expected that the. 70 horses will go through a minimum of 3 round bales per day, so even if we get them for $50each one week of feed will leave us out $1050 per week.
Along with hay which is imminent, we will also give the horses hard feed where possible, oats are our best option for this by price and quantity available to feed.
If you have old hay or half bags of feed that your horses do not eat we have drop of locations all around- melton, keilor, sunshine, **wallan, mickleham & Lancefield **(as soon as they are accessible) ‘
Transport:
We are in need of a Semi Trailer (or a truck large enough to transport 40 round bales) who is willing to bring them from Kinglake to us as soon as Union lane is open and usable. Anyone who knows of transport companies who are willing to help in the near future would be amazing.
Fencing:
As the fire burnt through the property wooden posts holding the fences up were also burnt, all bordering fences have severe structural damage with most of them down or ready to fall down as soon as a horse touches them .
We have also had recommendations Bunnings vouchers and feed store vouchers which are amazing, any vouchers can be sent to: 3 Kambar court Kurunjang Vic 3337 (As our usual PO box is unattainable)
Donations:
If you wish to donate our accounts are as follows:
Paypal: admin@bejeweledbrowbands.com
Bank deposit:
Bejeweled Browbands
Bendigo Bank
BSB: 633 000
ACC: 145746939
It is times like these we would like to ask our friends and surrounding communities to support us, whether it be with fencing equipment, labour (working bee will hopefully be organised once conditions are safe), contacting local business you believe may help us, bags of feed or hay, property, helping us rally for more support or donations towards hay & feed all support means a huge deal to us. All donators will be recognised for their help.
If you have anything or can support us in ANY way our heart goes out to you, Pretty Sally Riding Ranch is our livelyhood and the horses are our life.
If you can help us in any way please send us through a message to this page and I will get back to you as soon as possible , I will list a contact phone number in the morning for me. Every little bit counts towards a better outcome.
As more progresses I will be sure to keep everyone informed,
Thankyou for your support at such a devastated time,
Sarah
