Last month I mentioned that we were fundraising for a fence to be installed around our new Playground and this month I am very happy and extremely excited to advise that we have recently been blessed with a donation of $4000 from the Bendigo Bank so our fence is now under construction. We thank the Bendigo Bank for their generosity and continued support.
Engraved Pavers – We are currently fundraising to have a fence installed around our new playground and will also be installing engraved personalized pavers around the outside of the new cemented undercover entertainment area. If anyone is interested in having their name ‘Go Down In History’, it is not too late. The cost is $25 per paver and forms can be obtained by contacting Hayley Day at hayleyday2011 [AT] gmail.com.
We have started a terrific volunteer incentive scheme called
FRIENDS OF THE SHACK.
If you collect 10 volunteer hours in a year you are entitled to hire the Shack free for a day or evening. What a great idea! If you don’t like gardening there are opportunities to do cleaning, maintenance, and various other odd jobs. Give me a call or email if you are interested.
EVENTS AT THE SHACK
Working Bee – Sunday 3rd June 2012, 10am to 12 noon. – This working bee will be at the Shack, creek area and jobs needed to be done are spreading mulch, picking up rubbish, raking debris from the paths, and planting around the signage on the indigenous food trail. Garden Club – Meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm. Contact Susan on telephone 57 831 456 for more information.
